Top P-Wing Picks!

Apple’s Pick – N64 Mario Raceway

Mario Raceway is the fourth and last course in the Flower Cup of Mario Kart 64 and is the second shortest course of the game after Moo Moo Farm. The course returns in Mario Kart Wii as the last course of the Shell Cup. This track shares its music with Luigi Raceway, Wario Stadium, and Royal Raceway.

gamma’s Pick – N64 DK Jungle Parkway

Mario Raceway is the fourth and last course in the Flower Cup of Mario Kart 64 and is the second shortest course of the game after Moo Moo Farm. The course returns in Mario Kart Wii as the last course of the Shell Cup. This track shares its music with Luigi Raceway, Wario Stadium, and Royal Raceway.

Refia’s Pick – N64 Banshee Boardwalk

Banshee Boardwalk is the third track of the Special Cup in Mario Kart 64. It resembles the Ghost Valley courses from Super Mario Kart, in terms of overall maps, themes, and music. The race begins on a boardwalk with some guardrails missing. Additionally, a giant Cheep Cheep will jump out of the water, but it cannot harm the player. The second half of the race features an abandoned shack where bats fly at the racers, lowering their speed. Additionally, in some parts of the track some Boos appear, but they just laugh when the player passes by.

Christopherzillas’s Pick – GCN DK Mountain

DK Mountain is the fourth and final race track of the Star Cup in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and the third track of the Lightning Cup in Mario Kart Wii. The course takes place along two volcanoes in the middle of the jungle. The center of the track is a giant Barrel Cannon that shoots racers to the upper part of an active volcano. The course itself is complex, containing several curly paths, dangerous, tight turns and an uneven ground where drifting is difficult to control.

Barbaloot’s Pick – Wii U Mount Wario

Mount Wario is the fourth and final race track in the Star Cup of Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This course takes place on a mountain summit and ski resort themed after Wario, where players must race from the top to the bottom (similar to DK Summit in Mario Kart Wii and DK Mountain in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!). This is one of the three tracks in the game (the others being N64 Rainbow Road and Big Blue) to be divided into three sections rather than three laps. Mount Wario, along with Big Blue, is one of the only two courses in the Mario Kart series to not be a looped race course, so when the racer finishes the race, they will simply sit at the end of the course.

Rawk’s Pick – Wii U Electrodome

Electrodrome is the third race course of the Star Cup in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It is set in a neon-lit nightclub filled with Koopa Troopas, Shy Guys, and Raving Piranha Plants. Banners with the Star Cup logo can be seen throughout the track, as well as some big screens displaying characters dancing, spectrum analyzers, and the MKTV logo. As some tracks from Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7, the music has different layers depending on the location of the player. Driving on the parts of the course representing electronic instruments will cause effects to be added to the music, and when racing through areas that feature a crowd of dancing Koopas and Shy Guys, hand claps become audible.

ladyjuice’s Pick – Wii DK Summit

DK Summit is the third race course of the Flower Cup in Mario Kart Wii. The track takes place on a snowy mountain winter sports resort which appears to be popular among Shy Guys. The stage is somewhat a combination to DK Mountain from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and DK Pass from Mario Kart DS. Like DK Mountain, it has a Barrel Cannon aimed at a mountain and a zigzagging, crevice-filled path to the goal line, and like DK Pass, it is covered in snow and has various small snow piles that slow the player down if they run into them, as well as numerous Dash Panels.

    1. Banshee Boardwalk (Mario Kart 64) – Why is this course so memorable? Cause it’s the one all your friends hated when you picked it, that’s why, DUH!!!! But it’s epic for exactly that reason. Nothing is tense like that moment you go over the jumps and you know you’re probably gonna get slapped with a big ol lightning bolt. A true classic.

    2. Rainbow Road (Mario Kart 64) – SORRY gamers, but THIS rainbow road? It’s simply epic. I have memories of doing the skip on here and it’s so hard to pull off under pressure this course will always stand out for me…and let’s not even forget the epic theme. WOW!!!

    3. Choco Mountain (Mario Kart 64) – I used to hate this track as a kid but over time I have grown to appreciate its sublime shortcuts and the speedrun progression in this track is one of the most incredible in the series. Very fun course with good theming, very memorable.

    4. Koopa Troopa Beach (Mario Kart 64) – This course is the course that tested if you really knew your stuff or not. There’s a few HUGE shortcuts in it, and it’s probably the track I’ve played the most of anything. It’s got great theming and it’s a very fun lil track.

    5. Toad Turnpike (Mario Kart 64) – This course idea is epic and hasn’t really been done since!!!! Avoiding the traffic gives this course a whole new dynamic and it is consistently very fun. Definitely one of the first things I think when I think Mario Kart.

And yes I have played the others but Mario Kart 64 is just the most epic to me!!! Sorry, Not Sorry brother!!!
