Arrival

Rawk hit the GCL scene during the GameFAQs Eternal Darkness AIM Chat in 2002. Ryan “Rawk” Cox is one of the more controversial GCL users to ever walk the chat room or message board. His rash nature has led many faint of heart gamers to fall victim to his elite niche gamer stances on the industry at large. Rawk’s AIM handle was AnalGrimace69 but it is often speculated that he had a second account named ‘Ryan Washington’ that he used to troll GameCube Lounge chatters.

Involvement and Impact

Rawk has been involved with every iteration of the GCL Forums and has contributed hundreds of topics and thousands of posts throughout every forum reset. One topic in particular asked the question “What have you stuck your wang inside of?” He was also an early advocate for Game of the Month. He also created sound files for the original GCL GeoCities Website where we absolutely owned Ryan Washington by pretending to be him. Rawk’s absurd commentary on the forums and chat earned himself a quote command on IRC. The command !rawk was one of the most popular. It was removed from the bot RolfLandale but due to demand over the years it was re-implemented thanks to Refia.

The first ever GCL Meet-Up event was pioneered by Rawk, Yoshi and Sickeningmark dubbed GCL House 2018 where the first ever physical contact between GCL humans ever took place.

Departures

Despite being one of the original members of GCL, Rawk has “retired” numerous times. On each occasion he has stated that he would never be returning only to return mere months later.

Memes and Quotes

Rawk supplied the image of a dog that was later used in the ‘j00c is farmr’ topic. The image depicts banana having intercourse with this dog on a farm.
