Apple’s Anticipations Volume 1

I like video games! I don’t like waiting for games I really want but that is just part of the game! Here’s three games I’m really excited to get a chance to play! The Legend of Zelda Wii U…….NX? (Wii U)

This game may be coming to the NX first! That isn’t known for sure but I’m getting this launch day regardless of platform. The Legend of Zelda is a series that delivers every iteration. This time the overworld is opening up in a massive way. I’m hoping there are meaningful secrets sprinkled throughout its large world. Dragon Quest XI (PS4)

Dragon Quest 8 is one of my favorite jrpgs ever, sadly 9 and 10 didn’t follow down the same path 8 started. With 11 it’s looking like they’re taking a more traditional approach, which is exactly why 8 was so good to me. The game is gorgeous and I am hoping the combat remains fine-tuned traditional turn based fun. The overworld in 8 was massive and could be explored entirely, please Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom (PS4)

Ni No Kuni was a great outing on the PS3. I really enjoyed the ghibli music and art style. But Level 5 channeled their inner DQ8 and made another satisfying jrpg with NNK. I can’t wait to explore this world again, and it is very pleasing to look at.
