PURPLE PIKMIN WINS 12-11 AFTER 4-11 COMEBACK, VOTER FRAUD ALLEGATIONS RUN RAMPANT
ROLF, DONKEY KONG, AND KK SLIDER PULL OUT LAST SECOND 12-11 VICTORIES
JETSKIER 3 IS DOWNED IN A MON-U-MENTAL UPSET BY NIGHTS
WE ARE DOWN TO THE SWEET 16 AND OUR BRACKET IS AS FOLLOWS
Ness vs. Purple Pikmin, can the purpely one continue his unprecedented run to the top, or will he be taken out by the heavy favorite Ness
Donkey Kong vs. Samus, a matchup of two TITANS of the industry. the only question is after the bloodshed if either will have any strength left in round 4
K.K. Slider vs. Koopa the Quick, two underdog crowd favorites, and both great sports, expect a very nice concession from the loser
Yoshi vs. Metaknight, i recuse myself from comment
NiGHTS vs. Red Arkanoid Paddle, after a huge upset of Jetskier 3, NiGHTS looks to take down an even bigger powerhouse
Kirby vs. Rolf Landale, a match that needs no introduction
L-Block vs. Link, both previous winners of the contests on GameFAQs, and with L-Block just barely scraping by Bridget, you gotta wonder how he'll fare against the biggest legend of the industry
Mario vs. Jack Frost. Jack has made his way to the sweet 16 via a fairly easy path so far, and his true strength will be put to the test against the legendary jumpman himself

Ness is up 6-2 on Purple Pikmin; something to watch for in the coming days on if a pattern holds of the lazy GCLers all supporting Purple Pikmin

JULY 26 NOON ANALYSIS
Ness leads Purple Pikmin 7-4
Samus leads Donkey Kong 7-4
Koopa the Quick leads K.K. Sliders 6-5
Yoshi leads Metaknight 9-2
NiGHTS leads Red Arkanoid Paddle 6-5
Kirby leads Rolf 7-4
L-Block leads Link 6-5
Mario leads Jack Frost 7-4
Some INTERESTING early action. Was not expecting a blowout of the magnitude that Metaknight is facing. Koopa/KK living up to the hype we all wanted. NiGHTS continues to suprise me personally and that should be an interesting fight the rest of the way. Ness's lead obviously not safe as Purple Pikmin gets the late crowd, and I'd honestly put the odds at 50/50 at this point. Samus/DK going about as expected, and I still expect Samus to pull out somewhere around a 3-4 point victory. I expected Kirby to win, but I have an outside hope that GotM hero Rolf might make some kind of run. L-Block/Link is very tight and going exactly as I expected as well.
With about half the votes in, it looks to me like nothing is guaranteed yet except for Yoshi over Metaknight, and (very likely) Mario over Jack Frost.
