Find out just how resourceful you can be in this classic game, with its mixture of adventure and RPG elements. Step into the shoes of Mike Jones, a teenage star pitcher from Seattle who has come to the tropics to visit his famous archeologist uncle, Dr. Jones. After being told that his uncle has been abducted, Mike begins a perilous quest in order to rescue him and figure out the mysterious plot behind his disappearance.

User Reviews

This game is often too hard for people to really appreciate but if you take the time to sit down and actually play through it I believe it and its sequel are two of the greater games on the system. It has a lot of the charm and quirkiness you’d find in the Mother series and with such a cool tropical settings. Talking dolphins! Secret codes hidden on paper! Aliens and graveyards! Each chapter is very unique and interesting. I really enjoy this game and despite the typical growing pains people tend to have with this game I still recommend it!

HELL yeah! Now THIS is a game!!! Time to right the wrongs of the past and provide a PROPER gamer review NOT blinded by nostalgia to this simply EPIC USA-exclusive game (maybe Europe idk no one cares about them anyway bunch of fake ass 50hz gamers lmmfao). This game is NOT a Zelda ripoff, it was made by the same dang team!!! Very epic game, the music is incredible, the gameplay is incredible, and yeah it gets hard towards the end but so do a lot of games!!! I always thought it was cool how the game was meta and required you to dip your manual in water to find a code to continue. Sure, it was probably just anti-piracy but this is somethin that wouldn’t really be commonly done till like Metal Gear Solid!!! Epic!!! What if you don’t have the manual??? Well good news buddy!!! Nintendo mailed them out on request for FREE at the time!!! On the Virtual Console version there was a virtual bucket of water you could dip a virtual paper into to see it. Now we have the internet everwhere and you can just look it up or use the patented !dip commend in GCL chat!!! Now yes, you do have to tap the d-pad twice to go a direction, but it was necessary!!! There’s a lot of parts where you’d die if you couldn’t turn in place and honestly to me it feels fine in 2018. I will be finishing my stream/fourth or so playthrough of it soon for the streamlog. STAY TUNED! Did I mention the music??? GOD DAMN!!!! It was one of my first games ever and my cousin gave it to me for free one day along with Zelda on the NES and I haven’t been the same ever since! Why? Cause now I’m a DAMN GAMER!!
